"Paint Zone Display" Allows Image Data Display by Field

Unibase by DMAC grows more user friendly with the new capability to "Paint Zone Display." This menu item on the record format definition menu now allows the user to show how the image portion of the screen should look when keying a particular field.

In default mode only the display, image, and highlight zones are displayed when a field is to be keyed. Beyond the default mode the user has the ability to show up to nine display zones in addition to the current display zone for the field being keyed.

Keyer Can See Ten Image Zones

This will greatly help when the keyer has the ability to look ahead of the current field and key the next field. It also helps when the keyer wishes to sight verify a field against the current field -- e. g. a signature against the card holder name on credit cards. By allowing the user to define what is displayed, and where, significant efficiencies are expected.

Code is Object Oriented ANSI C

The enhancements to "Paint the Screen," "Define Image Zone," and "Paint Zone Display" were the result of switching to an object oriented ANSI C source code treatment of fields in record format definition this summer. Catherine Tarbox developed this code. Many clients helped check out the code by offering to be beta sites this past summer for this drop in record format definition improvement to 7.3. The new programs can be downloaded from the DMAC bbs at 540-667- 2162.
