"Define Image Zone" Added To Record Format Definition Menu

As Unibase by DMAC continues to strive for "Excellence through Evolution," another piece of image processing has been incorporated into the standard way of defining a Record Format. Now a user can define the display, image, and highlight zone for each field with a mouse and a reference image.

As a shortcut, the user can enter the "Define Image Zone" menu item and leave immediately. If desired, this will define the zone for each field as the largest possible piece of the reference image starting at the upper left corner and still leave three lines for scrolling the record format character data. Immediate keying from images can begin.

In a more typical use of "Define Image Zone," the user will specify the reference image, choose a field for definition and then define the display, image, and/or highlight zone using the mouse to draw the chosen zone. Zone can be copied from the previous field if desired. Many other zone manipulation capabilities are available. All information is available using the on-line help system with the User Help key.
