POSIX Compliance Speeds Four New UNIX Ports

Unibase by DMAC source code is ANSI C POSIX compliant. Over 100,000 lines of code were changed in the past three years to make this happen. Clients are now seeing the benefit of these standards approach to source code.

In the past three months, Unibase by DMAC has been ported to UNIXWARE 2.0, Tandem Fault Tolerant UNIX, LINUX and Data General newest box. In all cases, no defect was found in the POSIX code between machines. All ports took less than two days and all ports passed QA.

To us at DMAC, this is an excellent example of why users, developers, and integrators should insist upon products which conform to standards. For most of us, waiting for a standard to be developed is the less expensive alternative than jumping in with a non-standard approach. We think it supports our "Excellence through Evolution" approach.
